Yesterday's tiny victory
We have like 9 foot ceilings at work. A helium balloon was up there and the Mexicans couldn't reach it. The kitchen manager I can't start asked if I could get it. Like half snide. I said I doubt it. Cuz it is higher than my jump range. But I squatted down a little and did a jump. I got to it with ease. It was kind of funny. And also a tiny victory
This journey from fat to fit is really interesting to me personally. From emotions to pain. Hang on kids. We are atill just getting started
Week 4 of insanity started today. I had some personal business and working all day. So I skipped it. But I will be back tomorrow.
After the 60 days. I think I am going to join a cheap gym to get the fellowship and take some classes. I will probably keep doing home stuff. Just cuz it is easy to do the warm up and 20 mins of cardio or core jumping shit right at home some days.
See ya out there

2 week fit test results
I made it 2 weeks folks.. my knee isn't as sore as I thought it was going to be.. my bp hasn't spiked once.. so far so good. Here are my fit test results;
so the week 2 fitness test went amazing.. it was on of those no shit moments.. I missed 2 days in the 2 weeks, and had 2 rest days, i probably had 3 bad days of eating.. just to be honest; eating healthy isn't easier or less work, but I feel a lot better.
I am going for 2 more.. I told myself if I did it for 2 weeks and got results, I would do it for 2 more.. hell, if they go up again, I will do it for the whole 60 days
anyways..
2 weeks further away from out of shape, and closer to health.
switch kicks - up 24%
power jacks - up 67%
power knees- up 75%
power jumps - up 33%
globe jumps- up 166%
suicide jumps - up 150%
push-up jacks - up 45%
low plank obliques - up 48%

Meal prep
I have no idea why half-assed gym complain about meal prep. It is just math folks. If you were to cook healthy everyday. Like grill meat on a Forman grill for instance. It would take you 7 mins a meal. Not to mention unloading and sorting side dishes. Even Rachel ray is looking at a 10min prep per meal. You make 10 meals at one time. Takes an hour to bake chicken, while that is going on, you make salads and put in containers. You are easily done that in 90. And then the test of the week you can just eat.
Watch a tv show while you do it. Or the news. And you are just saving time.
If you are one of those prep mini meal types. The same shit is true. Probably more so. Cooking baked sweet potatoes one at a time is just dumb. You kind of have to meal prep that shit. And you wanna cook brown rice each meal.
Anyways. I don't really post meal prep photos or post about them. I figured I would just get it out of the way
Ps.
I had a mega shitty nite last nite so I moved my rest day to today. But will work out Sunday. And Monday is my 2 week insanity fit test. I think there will be some results

but I am still going..
i think the pain is supposed to be part of this fucking process..

Mondays
Ok. I woke up today an hour before my alarm. Sunday was kind of a no good Sunday. So I just wanted to sleep some.
So I reset my alarm. It goes off again and I do the math to make sure I have time to work out, shower and get to work on. After the math I reset alarm again. I really did not want to work out.
But it went off. I wiped the croutons out of my arms and i did the damn working. Power cardio. Afterwords I had to rush thru my shower all panting. I am now at work. Waiting to reap the benefits if forcing myself thru today's unwanted work out.
I then realize there is no benefit to one day. That all the days suck. But I am going to get in shape dispite it.

Plus metric?
Oh, you mean plyometrics. Today was day 6 of my insanity. I am not going to lie, when I do these exercises it looks more like mild crazy then insanity. And Belive you, me. I know what that looks like. Anyways.
If you are asking yourself what hell that means, you are not alone. So here is an excerpt from wiki ;
Plyometrics, also known as "jump training" or "plyos", are exercises based around havingmuscles exert maximum force in as short a time as possible, with the goal of increasing both speed and power. This training focuses on learning to move from a muscle extensionto a contraction in a rapid or "explosive" way, for example with specialized repeated jumping.[1] Plyometrics are primarily used byathletes, especially martial artists and high jumpers,[2] to improve performance,[3] and are used in the fitness field to a much lesser degree.
A little clip art lady doing something plyometric. Basically it is hard. Up and down. Lots of jumping. LAND SOFT. that is all I know so far. The issue is 200lb geeks do not land soft. And if anyone knows where my core is, please email it to me, cuz my balance is embarassing.

Does cardio always end this way
I am new to all exercise. I am extra new to cardio. As a recovering fat guy when my body would get close to a target heart rate, I would just stop. This 30 minutes of cardio bullshit is extreme.
It is day 5 of exercise and I promised to not hold back on the truth. Today ended with me face down on the hardwood floor. Sweaty and panting like a fish out of a fishbowl. I had to rewind back the 7 mins I lost trying to find my lungs and redo the cool down stretches
Well until tomorrow,
Your fish outta water

Day 3. Of Gleny's insanity
So last year I pushed myself with diet for 1 month. I lost about 30lbs. That was in nov 2012. Then I kind of coasted thru 2013. Now that it is 2014. For the last 3 months. I have been eating right and 3 days ago I started "insanity". Those work out DVDs. This one is interval training. And I have decided to use my blog. Which was once about only tits and ass to be about my personal journey trying to be healthy. Now there will occasionally still be tits and ass. But you should just download the Gleny.com app for that. Haha
So "insanity" is a 60 day program. But I am just totally committing for the first 14. I have never worked out before. But I am making myself do 14 days. Today my legs hurt. But the first 3 days didn't break me.
I will take some before photos. So that we can see the transformation. And I might even post a video here and there of my struggle for health. I am hoping that most of you will be supportive and I hope a few try being healthy with me. I want to show you that you can still have fun, be crazy and live healthy. Well that is my goal
