Race tomorrow

So I went last nite to the avon first aid building and picked up my race packet. It is my first race packet and I really felt good. Ya know. There is no turning back now. And I will run this race. I am setting my goal at 35 minutes. I feel I can beat that and I feel that is a respectful time. 

I am starting to feel healthy now. I am not sure if I mentioned before that I have had really high blood pressure for like 4 years. Tried meds a bit. Then I went off them. I tried diet too. And really the only that works is exercise and smart eating. I cut as much salt as possible and since I have been exercising 20-30 mins a day for 3 weeks. I have had zero signs. 

I finally feel chubby and not fat. It is very exciting. Thank you to all of those that have been supportive. And I can't wait to out run the wolf tomorow!

Homework came in.

So while texting with my motivational life coach. I mentioned a few of my plans for training up until the 5k race on the 31st. I got in reply this... 

Apparently I had a schecule already worked out. Kind of classic. So this is my next 2 weeks. If you need me. I will be out there moving

5k

May 31st is going to be my first 5k race. Avon. Come run with me. Come cheer me on. The thought of running the race was a little scary. I know it shouldn't be. But it was. The wolf says I can do it, if I really want to. 

I ran 6 days in a row, taking today off just to be stretch day. My legs and parts all feel great. So next week I will do it again. Pushing the speed some. I am changing my mindset by changing my body. It is early in my journey. But I like it

Hump day

So starting 3 days ago, the weather got warm enough and I have taken to the boardwalk. I am trying to run. I have been doing 2 miles in a little over 30minutes. 

It had been going well. I am not sure if a 5k is in my future yet. Although there is one in 2 weeks that I am interested in. 

In fat to fit news, I got a new pair of running shoes and some shorts that fit

I wore them today and got my first honk from a person in their car! Go me

Jog?

The wolf took me for a jog. Like 2 miles. Walk and jog. Walk and jog. It was good. Learned I need to land softer. And keep the arms loose. I will go again
